The new Jerusalem comes down out of heaven. Jesus is seen standing there on Mount Zion. (Rev 14:1 of 1-5) Whether that means the new Zion coming down will be on Mount Zion where David and the Tabernacle were, we will have to wait and see. The sea of unruly and godless mankind is gone, along with the old heavens made up of their leaders. (Isa 57:20; Rev 17:15)
The new earth society, minus that sea, is made up of the followers of Christ. (Gal 3:26-29)
Revelation 21:1-14 GNB . . .Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth disappeared, and the sea vanished. (2) And I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared and ready, like a bride dressed to meet her husband. (3) I heard a loud voice speaking from the throne: "Now God's home is with people! He will live with them, and they shall be his people. God himself will be with them, and he will be their God. (4) He will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, no more grief or crying or pain. The old things have disappeared." (5) Then the one who sits on the throne said, "And now I make all things new!" He also said to me, "Write this, because these words are true and can be trusted." (6) And he said, "It is done! I am the first and the last, the beginning and the end. To anyone who is thirsty I will give the right to drink from the spring of the water of life without paying for it. (7) Those who win the victory will receive this from me: I will be their God, and they will be my children. (8) But cowards, traitors, perverts, murderers, the immoral, those who practice magic, those who worship idols, and all liars---the place for them is the lake burning with fire and sulfur, which is the second death." (9) One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came to me and said, "Come, and I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb." (10) The Spirit took control of me, and the angel carried me to the top of a very high mountain. He showed me Jerusalem, the Holy City, coming down out of heaven from God (11) and shining with the glory of God. The city shone like a precious stone, like a jasper, clear as crystal. (12) It had a great, high wall with twelve gates and with twelve angels in charge of the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of the people of Israel. (13) There were three gates on each side: three on the east, three on the south, three on the north, and three on the west. (14) The city's wall was built on twelve foundation stones, on which were written the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Revelation 21:1-14 CEV . . .I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and so had the sea. (2) Then I saw New Jerusalem, that holy city, coming down from God in heaven. It was like a bride dressed in her wedding gown and ready to meet her husband. (3) I heard a loud voice shout from the throne: God's home is now with his people. He will live with them, and they will be his own. Yes, God will make his home among his people. (4) He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever. (5) Then the one sitting on the throne said: I am making everything new. Write down what I have said. My words are true and can be trusted. (6) Everything is finished! I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will freely give water from the life-giving fountain to everyone who is thirsty. (7) All who win the victory will be given these blessings. I will be their God, and they will be my people. (8) But I will tell you what will happen to cowards and to everyone who is unfaithful or dirty-minded or who murders or is sexually immoral or uses witchcraft or worships idols or tells lies. They will be thrown into that lake of fire and burning sulfur. This is the second death. (9) I saw one of the seven angels who had the bowls filled with the seven last terrible troubles. The angel came to me and said, "Come on! I will show you the one who will be the bride and wife of the Lamb." (10) Then with the help of the Spirit, he took me to the top of a very high mountain. There he showed me the holy city of Jerusalem coming down from God in heaven. (11) The glory of God made the city bright. It was dazzling and crystal clear like a precious jasper stone. (12) The city had a high and thick wall with twelve gates, and each one of them was guarded by an angel. On each of the gates was written the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. (13) Three of these gates were on the east, three were on the north, three more were on the south, and the other three were on the west. (14) The city was built on twelve foundation stones. On each of the stones was written the name of one of the Lamb's twelve apostles.

The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” 5 And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also, he says: “Write, because these words are faithful and true.” 6 And he said to me: “They have come to pass! I am the Al´pha and the O·me´ga, the beginning and the end. To anyone thirsting I will give from the fountain of the water of life free. 7 Anyone conquering will inherit these things, and I shall be his God and he will be my son. 8 But as for the cowards and those without faith and those who are disgusting in their filth and murderers and fornicators and those practicing spiritism and idolaters and all the liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur. This means the second death.” 9 And there came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls which were full of the seven last plagues, and he spoke with me and said: “Come here, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” 10 So he carried me away in [the power of the] spirit to a great and lofty mountain, and he showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God 11 and having the glory of God. Its radiance was like a most precious stone, as a jasper stone shining crystal-clear. 12 It had a great and lofty wall and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names were inscribed which are those of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. 13 On the east were three gates, and on the north three gates, and on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. 14 The wall of the city also had twelve foundation stones, and on them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
