Revelation 8:5-6 ALT
(5) And the angel has taken the incense burner and filled it from the fire of the altar, and he threw [it] to the earth. And [there] occurred peals of thunder and voices and lightning flashes and an earthquake. (6) And the seven angels, the ones having the seven trumpets, prepared themselves so that they should sound the trumpets. [The trumpet blasts heralding the destruction of or by Armageddon.]

These angels, as they announce the things mentioned in the verses that follow, release the four winds of destruction stated in Rev 7:1-3 as being temporarily held back.
