I don't imagine there are many literal eaters of hearts left. Most cannibals have probably died out suffering mad cow disease or... The term eaters of hearts is a throwback to a time when groups tribed together as warriors and then chose taking from others as a way of life for their whole society. They weren't farmers or herdsmen or craftsmen or... They chose to be takers and glorified being warriors and stealing from and killing others as an accepted and even celebrated way of life. Many felt their greatest prize was eating the heart of their enemy. (Psa 27:2 of 1-14) So, those wicked people raised their children trained as warriors in such an environment of hate. Many still do it today! I assume eating the heart of their enemy signified and/or, they imagined, glorified themselves with the last thing they could take from that person! What will God really do with "to" people like that? Eaters of hearts is a term used today to identify and classify all those individuals and groups who are willing to harm others to take what those people have; or to abuse and get their own way with them. It would seem Putin is an eater of hearts... Evidence suggests there is a lot of them! It has become a terrifying world to live in! Faith in the words of Jesus Christ is your only real hope and protection. Please consider that having faith in the promises of Jesus actually is your salvation; right now!
