1 Peter 2:1-12 ALT
(1) Therefore, having put aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisies and envies and all slanders, (2) as newborn babies long for the spiritual, pure milk, so that youp shall grow by it, (3) if indeed youp tasted [fig., experienced] that the Lord [is] gracious. [Psa. 34:8] (4) To whom having approached [as to] a living stone, on the one hand having been rejected by people, on the other hand chosen [and] precious before God, (5) and youp yourselves, as living stones, are being built up [into] a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (6) For this reason, it is contained in the Scripture, "Look! I lay in Zion a stone, a cornerstone, chosen, precious, and the one believing on Him shall by no means be put to shame [or, be disappointed]." [Isa 28:16] (7) Therefore, the honor [is] to youp, the ones believing. But to the ones disobeying [or, refusing to believe], "[The] stone which the builders rejected, this [one] became for [the] head of [the] corner [or, the chief cornerstone]" [Psalm 118:22] (8) and "A stone of stumbling and a rock of offence," who stumble at the word, refusing to believe, to which also they were appointed. [Isaiah 8:14] (9) But youp [are] a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people [for God's own] possession, in order that youp shall proclaim the excellencies of the One having called youp out of darkness into His marvelous light, [Exod 9:16; Isaiah 43:20; LXX-Ex. 23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6] (10) who at one time [were] not a people, but now [are the] people of God; the ones not having found mercy, but now having found mercy. [Hos. 1:6 & 9 ; Hos. 2:1 ; Hos. 2:23] (11) Beloved, I urge [youp] as exiles and sojourners, to be abstaining from the fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul, (12) having yourp conduct good among the Gentiles, so that in what they speak against youp as evildoers, having seen yourp good works, they shall glorify God in [the] day of visitation.

1 Peter 2:1-12 LITV
(1) Then laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil words, (2) as newborn babes desire the pure soul-nourishing milk, that you may grow by it; (3) if indeed you "tasted" "that the Lord is good;" [LXX-Psa. 33:9; MT-Psa. 34:8] (4) to whom having drawn near, a living Stone, indeed having been rejected by men, but chosen by God, precious; (5) you also as living stones are being built a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (6) Because of this, it is also contained in the Scripture: "Behold," I lay in Zion" an elect, "precious Stone," "a Corner-foundation;" "and the one believing in Him shall not be ashamed, never!" [Isa 28:16] (7) Then to you who believe belongs the preciousness. But to disobeying ones, He is the "Stone which those building rejected; this One became the Head of the Corner," Psa. [Psalm 118:22] (8) and a Stone-of-stumbling, and a Rock-of-offense" to the ones stumbling, being disobedient to the Word, to which they were also appointed. [Isaiah 8:14] (9) But you are "an elect race," "a royal priesthood," "a holy nation," "a people for possession," so that "you may openly speak of the virtues" of the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; [Exod 9:16; Isaiah 43:20; LXX-Ex. 23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6] (10) you who then were "not a people, but now are the people" of God; "the one not pitied then but now pitied." [Hos. 1:6 & 9 ; Hos. 2:1 ; Hos. 2:23] (11) Beloved, I exhort you as pilgrims and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul; (12) having your behavior good among the nations, in that which they speak against you as evildoers; by observing your good works, they may glorify God in a day of visitation.

1 Peter 2:1-12 MWT
2 Accordingly, put away all badness and all deceitfulness and hypocrisy and envies and all sorts of backbiting, 2 and, as newborn infants, form a longing for the unadulterated milk belonging to the word, that through it you may grow to salvation, 3 provided you have tasted that the Lord is kind. [Psa. 34:8] 4 Coming to him as to a living stone, rejected, it is true, by men, but chosen, precious, with God, 5 You yourselves also as living stones are being built up a spiritual house for the purpose of a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 For it is contained in Scripture: "Look! I am laying in Zion a stone, chosen, a foundation cornerstone, precious; and no one exercising faith in it will by any means come to disappointment." [Isa 28:16] 7 It is to you, therefore, that he is precious, because you are believers; but to those not believing, "the identical stone that the builders rejected has become [the] head of [the] corner," [Psalm 118:22] 8 and "a stone of stumbling and a rock-mass of offense." These are stumbling because they are disobedient to the word. To this very end they were also appointed. [Isaiah 8:14] 9 But you are "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession, that you should declare abroad the excellencies" of the one that called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. [Exod 9:16; Isaiah 43:20; LXX-Ex. 23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6] 10 For you were once not a people, but are now God's people; you were those who had not been shown mercy, but are now those who have been shown mercy. [Hos. 1:6 & 9 ; Hos. 2:1 ; Hos. 2:23] 11 Beloved, I exhort you as aliens and temporary residents to keep abstaining from fleshly desires, which are the very ones that carry on a conflict against the soul. 12 Maintain your conduct fine among the nations, that, in the thing in which they are speaking against you as evildoers, they may as a result of your fine works of which they are eyewitnesses glorify God in the day for his inspection.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
