2 Chronicles 16:9a ESV For the eyes of the LORD  [] run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him...

Ezekiel 9:4 BBE The Lord said to him, Go through the town, through the middle of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the brows of the men who are sorrowing and crying for all the disgusting things which are done in it.

Ancient Jerusalem had God's temple and was a city of the Jewish nation he had made famous in all the earth. Jerusalem thus represented his connection with all the peoples of the earth who were looking for him. Many of the religious leaders among those who claimed to serve him were hypocrites and were going to be destroyed. In our modern day fulfillment of this prophecy, his connection with humankind is represented by all the individuals who proclaim they are Christians.

2 Chronicles 16:9a BBE For the eyes of the Lord  [] go this way and that, through all the earth, letting it be seen that he is the strong support of those whose hearts are true to him...

Ezekiel 9:4 GNB "Go through the whole city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the forehead of everyone who is distressed and troubled because of all the disgusting things being done in the city."

If you are part of a religious sect famous for child abuse or other badness, you should announce publicly you are breaking free of them to follow Christ. (Mat 17:21-23) Read the Gospels and learn what Jesus really taught.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
