Galatians 3:26-27 ALT For you are all sons [and daughters] of God by means of faith in Christ Jesus. (27) For as many as were baptized [or, immersed] [been drawn by God's spirit - John 6:44] into Christ put on [or, clothed yourselves with (the mind of)] Christ. [Or, been born again - John 3:1-21]

Galatians 3:26-27 GW You are all God's children by believing in Christ Jesus. (27) Clearly, all of you who were baptized in Christ's name [drawn by God's spirit - John 6:44] have clothed yourselves with Christ. [Or, been born again - John 3:1-21]

Galatians 3:26-27 CEV All of you are God's children because of your faith in Christ Jesus. (27) And when you were baptized, [drawn by God's spirit - John 6:44] it was as though you had put on Christ [Or, been born again - John 3:1-21] in the same way you put on new clothes.

Water baptism is used by some individuals as an outward sign or proof that person has dedicated their life to Christ. Your actual baptism, however, is the second you awaken to realize your need to learn and live by what God sent his son to teach you. (Mat 17:5; John 7:15-18) Though it may take some time to build faith causing you to choose dedication, (Mark 13:10 & 13) you will never be the same, starting from the second you have the realization of who Christ is. That awareness will set you on a course to choose or reject faith. (Deu 30:15-16 & Deu 30:19-20) Be cautious: Most water baptisms done today are not really a sign of the person's dedication to Christ, but of a dedication to some religious sect of people!

Galatians 3:26-27 GNB It is through faith that all of you are God's children in union with Christ Jesus. (27) You were baptized into union with Christ, and now you are clothed, so to speak, with the life of Christ himself.

Galatians 3:26-27 ESV for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. (27) For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
