Hebrews 8:6-12 GNB But now, Jesus has been given priestly work which is superior to theirs, just as the covenant which he arranged between God and his people is a better one, because it is based on promises of better things. (7) If there had been nothing wrong with the first covenant, there would have been no need for a second one. (8) But God finds fault with his people when he says, "The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will draw up a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. [Mat 17:5] (9) It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by the hand and led them out of Egypt. They were not faithful to the covenant I made with them, and so I paid no attention to them. (10) Now, this is the covenant that I will make with the people of Israel [Gal 3:7-9 & 26-29] in the days to come, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. [We get God's law in our mind and heart by following his command to listen to his son - Mark 9:7 (and by doing so, we enter into this new covenant with him):] I will be their God, and they will be my people. (11) None of them will have to teach their friends or tell their neighbors, 'Know the LORD.' [Jer 31:33-34] For they will all know me, from the least to the greatest. (12) I will forgive their sins and will no longer remember their wrongs."

Verses 10 and 11 are being fulfilled right now! Entering this new covenant is the opportunity you have right this minute! You enter the new covenant with God through Christ only by abandoning your membership in, or association with, any of the religions of this world. You must get free [John 8:31-32; Jer 51:44-46] of them because they each one imagine, and try to convince you, it is they who are teaching people to know God. [Mat 24:23-38] You must publicly announcing you choose to know God by listening to his son: You must read the Gospels by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and you must tell others to do the same! [Acts 11:14] You must not direct people to any of the religious sects of this world.

(7) If nothing had been wrong with the first promise, no one would look for another one. (8) But God found something wrong with his people and said to them, "The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new promise to Israel and Judah. [Mat 17:5] (9) It will not be like the promise that I made to their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of Egypt. They rejected that promise, so I ignored them, says the Lord. (10) But this is the promise that I will make to Israel [Gal 3:7-9 & 26-29] after those days, says the Lord: I will put my teachings inside them, and I will write those teachings on their hearts. [We get God's law in our mind and heart by following his command to listen to his son - Mark 9:7 (and by doing so, we enter into this new covenant with him):] I will be their God, and they will be my people. (11) No longer will each person teach his neighbors or his relatives by saying, 'Know the Lord.' All of them from the least important to the most important will all know me (12) because I will forgive their wickedness and I will no longer hold their sins against them."

(10) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel [Gal 3:7-9 & 26-29] after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, [We get God's law in our mind and heart by following his command to listen to his son - Mark 9:7 (and by doing so, we enter into this new covenant with him):] and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (11) And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. (12) For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more."

(7) If the first agreement with God had been all right, there would not have been any need for another one. [Mat 17:5] (9) It won't be like the agreement that I made with their ancestors, when I took them by the hand and led them out of Egypt. They broke their agreement with me, and I stopped caring about them! (10) "But now I tell the people of Israel [Gal 3:7-9 & 26-29] this is my new agreement: 'The time will come when I, the Lord, will write my laws on their minds and hearts. [We get God's law in our mind and heart by following his command to listen to his son - Mark 9:7 (and by doing so, we enter into this new covenant with him):] I will be their God, and they will be my people. (11) Not one of them will have to teach another to know me, their Lord.' "All of them will know me, no matter who they are. (12) I will treat them with kindness, even though they are wicked. I will forget their sins."
