Fiery Colored Dragon.
In the Bible, at the time a woman is about to give birth, Satan is referred to as a great fiery colored dragon. (Rev 12:1-17) He is cast down to the earth and drags a third of God's heavenly sons to join him in rebellion.
He then attacks the woman about to give birth on the earth.
Israel is referred to as a woman as well as God's wife. (Isa 54:5-6) That originally referred to the ancient Jewish Nation being used by God to produce the Messiah. (Mat 1:1) Today, of course, it refers to the Spiritual Israel of God, heavenly mount Zion. (Psa 2:6-9; Gal 3:26-29) Eve was the original woman who's offspring would crush Satan's head. (Gen 3:15)
So, the woman giving birth to the son refers to God's faithful organization in their work of producing or giving birth to the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. (Rev 21:1-4)

The Wild Beast with Seven Heads and Ten Horns.
The Dragon is similar to a vision the Bible refers to as the Wild Beast with seven heads and ten horns. (Rev 13:1-2) The seven heads of that beast represents the seven Gentile world powers that ruled the earth for some 4000 years, starting with Egypt, and being ended by Christ's return and enthronement as King of the earth.
The world hasn't subjugated itself to the Throne of Christ, so are now being forced to do so by the Great Tribulation and Armageddon. Armageddon is God's war to end the tribulation and is a good thing for people of goodwill. (Luke 21:25-28; Luke 2:10-14) The similarity between the Wild Beast and the Dragon is logical, since the Bible tells us the Dragon gives its power and authority to the Beast. (Rev 13:1-2) So, we find that God has his wife in the form of his faithful organization; while Satan has his own woman in the form of his earth wide religious organization. The churches have ridden on the back of the Gentile nations throughout their existence, trying to control them by promising them God's blessing, while their power is actually the power of the Dragon. Be careful to distinguish Christianity and the power of God from religion and the power of Satan. You must choose. Christians encourage you to read the words of Christ and follow "him" by first knowing personally what he promised. Religionists encourage you to join their sect and follow "them"... No matter who tries to tell you otherwise, following some sect of men and following Christ is never the same. Simple question: What do you call yourself? Baptist, Catholic, Jew, Jehovah's Witness, Mormon, Muslim, Amish; or, Christian... (Acts 11:26)
