This is a brief introduction to help you understand this video recording of a judicial hearing convened and blessed by the Governing Body (and/or the "faithful and discreet slave") of Jehovah's Witnesses. The meeting was held to confirm an earlier organizational disfellowshipping of one of their members. The introduction is helpful to understand some of the terms used by the men talking. This fully and openly represents what their organization believes; and then, shows how members are forced to assert it is truth. (It's sadly comical to see them express their belief they don't "force" anyone to do anything... They apparently imagine separating one of their members from his friends and even his own family is not coercion.) This video is rare because they vehemently defend the secrecy of all such organizational judicial decisions, preferring to convene such meetings in back rooms without any record kept.
My prayer is all Jehovah's Witness will watch this video. Since it is an official meeting conducted by their own organization, they should not fear it! It should also be of interest to any person considering membership, or just wanting to able to have an educated conversation with them when they visit your door. It should be shown to any Jehovah's Witness who calls at your door to spread their doctrine. Most don't know what is in this video and many will cover their ears and run away rather than hear. (Acts 7:57) It should interest all those interested in knowing the real truth.
This is, again, the video record of a real life judicial hearing held by prominent representatives of Jehovah's Witnesses; to uphold and confirm their earlier public disfellowshipping of Joe Cummings. I am Joe and I requested this meeting, in part, because I couldn't believe they disfellowshipped me some 13 years ago (written December 18, 2022); and certainly not for the reason they asserted. They disfellowshipped me because I refused to go along with an assertion by some of the group that all the literature produced by the organization is spiritual food. That is not specifically mentioned in this meeting, as they apparently feel wording "my sin" to indicate I won't assert their human leaders are anointed by God for the purpose of directing their sect, is more palatable... It does really amount to the same thing. I really believed for all those years there must have been some mistake when they threw me out; personality clashes or something... Not so! This more recent judicial hearing makes clear the organizationally approved reason I was disfellowshipped is because I refuse to join them in asserting their "faithful and discreet slave" class is producing "new Spiritual Food." (Spiritual Food is a Bible term referring to the teachings of Jesus Christ because his teachings come down from God. [1 Cor 10:1-4] The teaching came out in print about the time I was removed, and is the first time I ever heard the teaching. (Watchtower; June 15, 2009) I did know some ignorant members felt that way, of course, buy had no idea it was a required organizational doctrine of faith. JW's chosen "Slave" class is the subgroup you will hear them freely admit they worship [follow without question or reservation]. The "slave" is the chosen name of a small group among their sect they have elevated to be beyond question. In their mind, if the "Slave" says it, it's just like the Bible (God) said it! Simply stated: They disfellowshipped me because I refused to put organizational literature above or equal to the Bible... They demand this unity of worship because "the slave class" asserts the slave is acted upon by God's spirit to tell the group who they are and what to believe. They feel the slave must interpret the Bible for them. Don't be fooled, explaining the Bible is what Christ came to do.
The "slave" freely admits the rest of us have no way of knowing if God's spirit is active on them; we just have to have faith - in them! - Mat 24:23-28) The first time I ever saw such an absurd assertion in writing was in the June 15, 2009 Watchtower magazine they publish. Shortly after that magazine, I was disfellowshipped as an apostate because I refused to go along with such a silly statement. (I actually believe they published this magazine "during" my lengthy disfellowshipping process. Before that, from what I was told, it was a secret teaching among the men who are looked up to as the group's leaders. I assume they published the teaching in the Watchtower because they were worried about legalities, what with having maliciously deceived me during my indoctrination and all the years of my membership.) Right up to the point their gavel fell to disfellowship me, I imagined I was among Bible students. From the time I was misled to join them, I always clearly stated I was a Bible student. At the point of their wicked action against me, I was jarred awake to realize I was among Watchtower Slaves rather than other Bible students. The congregation which took that original action against me is now long dissolved and done away with. My more recent approach, and this resulting video, is by the new congregation I would now be assigned to, since they disbanded my old one. (I believe [but don't presume to judge that I "know"] that congregation was dissolved by God, because of their wickedness. You will hear one of these men say he "knows" that is not the case. We will see...) The original disfellowshipping meeting was held in secret, in a little back room, far away from prying eyes. Jehovah's Witness members are expected to blindly go along with all such decisions because they "trust" the men who lead their sect. My publishing this video is further proof, in their judgment, I am wicked. The pandemic brought video meetings and so enables me to expose what they really are out in the light of day. Please know: The Bible and the Bible alone is the only reliable source of Spiritual Food coming down from God. (1 Cor 4:6-7)
