Hebrews 8:6-13 GNB But now, Jesus has been given priestly work which is superior to theirs (the Jewish Priesthood), just as the covenant which he arranged between God and his people is a better one, because it is based on promises of better things. (7) If there had been nothing wrong with the first covenant, there would have been no need for a second one. (8) But God finds fault with his people when he says, "The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will draw up a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. [Mat 17:5] (9) It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by the hand and led them out of Egypt. They were not faithful to the covenant I made with them, and so I paid no attention to them. (10) Now, this is the covenant that I will make with the people of Israel [Followers of Christ: Gal 3:7-9 & 26-29] in the days to come, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. [We get God's law in our mind and heart by following his command to listen to his son - Mark 9:7 (and by doing so, we enter into this new covenant with him):] I will be their God, and they will be my people. (11) None of them will have to teach their friends or tell their neighbors, 'Know the LORD.' [Jer 31:33-34] For they will all know me, from the least to the greatest. (12) I will forgive their sins and will no longer remember their wrongs." (13) By speaking of a new covenant, God has made the first one old; and anything that becomes old and worn out will soon disappear.
Verses 10 and 11 are being fulfilled right now! Entering this new covenant is the opportunity you have in our day! To enter the new covenant with God through Christ, you must abandon your memberships in, or association with, any of the religions of this world. You must get free [John 8:31-32; Jer 51:44-46] of them because they are false prophets: You can recognize their bad fruit in their trying to convince you it is "they" who must teach people to know God; instead of simply directing them to listen to Christ. [Mat 7:15‑16; Mat 24:23-38] You must publicly announce your choice to know God by listening to his son: You must read the Gospels by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and you must  tell  warn others to do the same! [Acts 11:14] Sincere and well meaning as some of those individuals might be, (Mat 7:21‑23) you must not be found among those directing people to any of the religious sects of this world.

Hebrews 8:6-13 GW Jesus has been given a priestly work that is superior to the Levitical priests' work (the Jewish Priesthood). He also brings a better promise from God that is based on better guarantees. (7) If nothing had been wrong with the first promise, no one would look for another one. (8) But God found something wrong with his people and said to them, "The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new promise to Israel and Judah. [Mat 17:5] (9) It will not be like the promise that I made to their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of Egypt. They rejected that promise, so I ignored them, says the Lord. (10) But this is the promise that I will make to Israel [Followers of Christ: Gal 3:7-9 & 26-29] after those days, says the Lord: I will put my teachings inside them, and I will write those teachings on their hearts. [We get God's law in our mind and heart by following his command to listen to his son - Mark 9:7 (and by doing so, we enter into this new covenant with him):] I will be their God, and they will be my people. (11) No longer will each person teach his neighbors or his relatives by saying, 'Know the Lord.' All of them from the least important to the most important will all know me (12) because I will forgive their wickedness and I will no longer hold their sins against them." (13) God made this new promise and showed that the first promise was outdated. What is outdated and aging will soon disappear.

Hebrews 8:6-13 ESV But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old (the Jewish Priesthood) as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises. (7) For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second. (8) For he finds fault with them when he says: "Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, [Mat 17:5] (9) not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not continue in my covenant, and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord. (10) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel [Followers of Christ: Gal 3:7-9 & 26-29] after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, [We get God's law in our mind and heart by following his command to listen to his son - Mark 9:7 (and by doing so, we enter into this new covenant with him):] and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (11) And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. (12) For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more." (13) In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Hebrews 8:6-13 CEV Now Christ has been appointed to serve as a priest in a much better way (than the Jewish Priesthood), and he has given us much assurance of a better agreement. (7) If the first agreement with God had been all right, there would not have been any need for another one. (8) But the Lord found fault with it and said, "I tell you the time will come, when I will make a new agreement with the people of Israel and the people of Judah. [Mat 17:5] (9) It won't be like the agreement that I made with their ancestors, when I took them by the hand and led them out of Egypt. They broke their agreement with me, and I stopped caring about them! (10) "But now I tell the people of Israel [Followers of Christ: Gal 3:7-9 & 26-29] this is my new agreement: 'The time will come when I, the Lord, will write my laws on their minds and hearts. [We get God's law in our mind and heart by following his command to listen to his son - Mark 9:7 (and by doing so, we enter into this new covenant with him):] I will be their God, and they will be my people. (11) Not one of them will have to teach another to know me, their Lord.' "All of them will know me, no matter who they are. (12) I will treat them with kindness, even though they are wicked. I will forget their sins." (13) When the Lord talks about a new agreement, he means that the first one is out of date. And anything that is old and useless will soon disappear.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
