This is a group of scriptures related by subject matter. Life springs from understanding and exercising faith in what they promise as a group. Our day is the day of salvation promised by Jesus: These scriptures explain the method of your personal deliverance.

--- Christ intended his followers have faith. ---
Mark 4:35-41 ESV On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, "Let us go across to the other side." (36) And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him. (37) And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. (38) But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, "Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?" (39) And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. (40) He said to them, "Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?" (41) And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"

--- Faith would give them power! ---
Mark 11:22-23 ESV And Jesus answered them, "Have faith in God. (23) Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.

--- That power would be through God's spirit. ---
Luke 11:9-13 GW "So I tell you to ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. (10) Everyone who asks will receive. The one who searches will find, and for the person who knocks, the door will be opened. (11) "If your child asks you, his father, for a fish, would you give him a snake instead? (12) Or if your child asks you for an egg, would you give him a scorpion? (13) Even though you're evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. So how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"

--- God's spirit is through our knowledge of Christ's words. ---
John 6:63 GNB What gives life is God's Spirit; human power is of no use at all. The words I have spoken to you bring God's life-giving Spirit.

--- We do God's will by listening to Christ. ---
Mark 3:31-35 ESV And his mother and his brothers came, and standing outside they sent to him and called him. (32) And a crowd was sitting around him, and they said to him, "Your mother and your brothers are outside, seeking you." (33) And he answered them, "Who are my mother and my brothers?" (34) And looking about at those who sat around him, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! (35) For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother."

--- We can only gain life through God's spirit,
by reading the words of his Christ (Anointed One). ---
John 6:63 ESV It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

--- As the tribulation keeps expanding and growing worse, consuming (or immersing yourself in) the words of Christ is your modern day Passover meal; [John 6:52-59] and is the equivalent of sprinkling the blood of the lamb over your doorpost. [Exo 12:5-7 & 22-23] Your personal faith in the promises of Christ can keep out the angels bringing death upon those refusing to believe in and learn from [John 17:3] God's son. [John 12:46-50] The teachings of Christ amount to the mark in your forehead for salvation. [Eze 9:1-7] Faith in Christ is the ark of salvation for our day. [Luke 17:26-30] The promises of Christ equate with grand blessings for those who love him; [Isa 35:1-10] not so much for those who don't! [Luke 19:27---

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
