Prostitute Rides the Wild Beast!
And the Eighth wicked King...
The Bible clearly prophesied these seven Gentile world powers, with the Anglo American being the last to rule [and then the brief eighth king or kingdom] at the time of their being executed at Armageddon by Christ and the Angels.
The seven heads are Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, Britain-US.
The prostitute riding wild beast!
(Rev 13:1-8) The days of her control are past and the Wild Beast has largely destroyed her... (Rev 17:15-18) Fewer and fewer people take religion seriously any more. Wise people, while seeing the folly of religion, do still take יהוה and his Christ seriously... (Acts 17:29-31; Mal 3:16-4:3)
The Bible shows us the prostitute, representing the world's false religious empire riding on the back of that conglomeration of world powers, trying to control and direct them. Remember: We still have the remnants of the Holy Roman religious Empire consisting of the apostate church. She ruled the earth for a thousand years at the point of a Roman spear. During those Dark Ages, religious leaders put to death whom ever they chose, often taking days to torture their poor victim to death; those victims often being Christ's true followers, while they actually used the name of Christ. (See: John Calvin and The Protestants.) As the Bible describes the Beast:
Revelation 13:1-8 ESV ...And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. (2) And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear's, and its mouth was like a lion's mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority. (3) One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast. (4) And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?" (5) And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months. (6) It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven. (7) Also it was allowed to make war on the saints
[the saints referring to the followers of Christ and likely referring to Satan's success during the Dark Ages.] and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation, (8) and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.
[Note on what "I personally believe" about the Kingdom of God by Christ on earth. (Examine it cautiously - listen to and trust only Christ to define "your" beliefs.) The birth of the kingdom of Almighty God יהוה on earth; "I believe," began with the first announcement of the coming Messiah (Gen 3:15) right after sin occurred in creation, while our first parents were still in the Garden of Eden. And now, it is being revealed as the Kingdom of Christ in and by his destruction of the counterfeit kingdoms of this world. (Rev 11:15) Important then to note: Our deliverance is a single 6000 year process by God, and is the "founding of the new world." (Isaiah 11:1-13)]
All that is ancient history now... It seems only fools still believe in religion as a source of help. All people of wisdom and good will (Luke 2:14 of 8-14) personally recognize the revelation of Christ; and, are demonstrating faith in it. (Rom 10:9-10; Mal 3:16-4:3)

The Eighth King of Kingdom!
One thing interesting [and somewhat perplexing] to me is the prophetic promise about an eighth king or kingdom. We are told there are seven world powers, but then an eighth king who rules only briefly and quickly meets his end without the use of human hands? What could that mean? It helps me believe and hopefully understand if I consider some previous Bible prophecies about world leaders. Some of those men called by God hundreds of years in advance, some even by name; an example being "Cyrus The Great." Cyrus founded the Persian Empire. (Isa 44:28) The prophecies of Isaiah were recorded by about 732 BCE, which was some 200 years before Cyrus appeared to destroy Babylon and to restore and rebuild Jerusalem with God's temple. (Isa 45:1-7) Though not called by name, "Alexander The Great" is another world leader of Bible prophecy. He is world renown for his leadership and military tactics. Very interesting about Alexander, he was shown the prophecy of his coming by יהוה's prophets in Jerusalem when he laid siege to their city. He spared the city because of seeing the prophecy. Sadly for Alexander, similar adjacent prophecies foretold that Babylon would never be rebuilt. Wisely choosing to heed God's word concerning himself with respect to Jerusalem, but then choosing to ignore God's Word concerning Babylon, his resultant attempt to rebuild the city of Babylon likely cost him his life. He died young! Because God used those men in his purpose to help mankind does not mean they were his servants. (Rom 13:1-2)
Some of what the Bible says, then, about the worlds eighth king or kingdom: Prophecy about him seems sort of intermixed in other prophecy, but without being clearly specific to identify him, at least in my mind. He is said to be outstanding in being wicked and deceitful, but then is broken or goes away without the use of human hands... We read:
Daniel 8:23-26 GNB "When the end of those kingdoms is near and they have become so wicked that they must be punished, *1 there will be a stubborn, vicious, and deceitful king. (24) He will grow strong---but not by his own power. He will cause terrible destruction and be successful in everything he does. He will bring destruction on powerful men and on God's own people. *2 (25) Because he is cunning, he will succeed in his deceitful ways. He will be proud of himself and destroy many people without warning. He will even defy the greatest King of all, but he will be destroyed without the use of any human power. (26) This vision about the evening and morning sacrifices which has been explained to you will come true. But keep it secret now, because it will be a long time before it does come true."
*1 (Note: As this world becomes more and more wicked, it will or has reached a point where no good person can any longer be produced; like in Noah's day. [Gen 6:5-8; 1 Cor 15:33; 2 Pet 2:7-8 of 5-9] At that time, it just needs to be destroyed. It seems time!)
*2 (Note: The New World Translation conveys that the original Hebrew text conveyed "in a wonderful way he will cause ruin." This verse may mean he will be saying his actions are "wonderful" while he actually brings only harm and/or death to many.)
The Bible also speaks of the last king as a great horn with eyes and a mouth speaking grandiose things:
Daniel 7:7-8 NWT . . .After this I kept on beholding in the visions of the night, and, see there! a fourth beast,
[Rome] fearsome and terrible and unusually strong. And it had teeth of iron, big ones. It was devouring and crushing, and what was left it was treading down with its feet. And it was something different from all the [other] beasts that were prior to it, and it had ten horns.
[Britain-America] 8 I kept on considering the horns, and, look! another horn, a small one, came up in among them, and there were three of the first horns that were plucked up from before it. And, look! there were eyes like the eyes of a man in this horn, and there was a mouth speaking grandiose things. . .
Again the Bible seems to speak of him:
Revelation 13:3-5 NWT . . .And I saw one of its heads as though slaughtered to death, but its death-stroke got healed, and all the earth followed the wild beast with admiration. 4 And they worshiped the dragon because it gave the authority to the wild beast, and they worshiped the wild beast with the words: “Who is like the wild beast, and who can do battle with it?” 5 And a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given it, and authority to act forty-two months was given it.
A personal question seems natural: Does this final king of Bible prophecy remind you of any of the rulers you see on the world stage (1 Cor 4:9) during these end times? Remember, this very descriptive vision was given Daniel a little over 2500 years ago. Righteously inclined people are listening to Christ and thus are given freedom to choose the life they want. (John 8:31-32) The wicked are stupid and are left to die in their sins. (John 8:23-24) Sometimes, wicked people are used like marionettes on strings, just as this last wicked king of Daniels vision might be: These scriptures make him seem lost to God by having chosen badness, but even so, is being manipulated by God to bring about the end of this whole wicked world system. (1 John 5:19-21; Dan 2:44; Mat 6:9-10; Isa 60:22)
Be very careful not to judge, however. (1 Cor 4:5; Rom 12:19) Having the same choice as everyone; this seemingly wicked king might accept Christ and change... Or, maybe these scriptures just mean he will be caught in the sudden Angelic destruction of all the wicked in Armageddon. (1 Thes 5:1-5) All we can know is what the Bible tells us: And that is he or his wickedness will be broken or destroyed without human hand. In any case, if this scriptural description of the last wicked king reminds you of someone, you can know personally if it is him simply by watching to see what becomes of him. Avoid being swept away in the destruction of the wicked. This prophecy about the destruction of the harlot and end of the eighth and final king in the string of Gentile world powers will be fulfilled. Not because I say it; because God's Word said so over 2500 years ago!
