Foreword: Once you understand the Old Testament exists as a tutor leading to Christ, (
Gal 3:23-26) you should appreciate the value of God's one and only command given to humankind since Jesus started to teach: He told us, "This is my son, the beloved, listen to him."(
Mark 9:7) To simplify the study of the Bible, the scriptures referenced by the scholars doing this translation of Luke have been added as links. If you read and understand the referenced scriptures, it will help you understand Luke and learn what the whole of the Bible teaches. Since the ALT of the Bible was only available to us as the New Testament, and many of the referenced scriptures are from the Old Testament, those scriptural reference links are taken from the "Literal Version" [LITV] or from the "Modern King James Version," [MKJV] both are translations by Jay P. Green. [Luke, and the other three Gospels by Matthew, Mark and John, are parallel accounts of the life and teachings of God's son.]
