Live Forever... Begin Now! These scriptures explain what that even means and how to do it... They provide asummary of the basic steps taken by all who accept the gift of life through their personal faith in the words of Jesus Christ. (Mark 9:7; John 6:63) ∞ Life = understanding these Scriptures; as a whole! (Written: May, 2010)
1. To begin your process of living forever, the true God tells us He is searching through the earth for each and every individual who is looking for him. He is identifying all those searching for Good: (2 Chronicles 16:9a) (9) For the eyes of the LORD * run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose heart is perfect (complete) toward Him. (Psa 83:18; Heb 11:6)
* is God's personal Hebrew Name as He presented it to Moses on the stone tablets. (Exo 31:18) When Hebrew speaking Jews pronounce יהוה , it sounds like . (That's Yea, as in "Yea" go team, followed by Vah, like the first two letters of "va"ult - Yea•Vah.)
2. Based on what
sees us to be, He directs each person seeking righteousness to the teachings of his son. We can't really understand Jesus if we are not being drawn to him by יהוה : (John 6:65) 65 So he (Jesus) went on to say: 'This is why I have said to you, no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father." (John 6:44a) 44 No man can come to me unless the Father, who sent me, draws him; . . . (John 6:37‑40; John 8:23-27 of 21-31)
3. In these last days, we are fortunate to be alive at the time of Jesus's return as King. That means everlasting life is available to us in a way it had not been in times past! (Mat 24:37-39) All people who have died require a resurrection for life. Not so us! We are, however, each one judging ourselves into one of two groups, (Mat 13:47-50; Luke 16:8) those who stay alive and those who don't; (Mat 25:31-34) being judged by how we respond to Jesus's words: (John 12:46-48) 46 "I have come as a light into the world, in order that everyone putting faith in me may not remain in the darkness. 47 But if anyone hears my sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I came, not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that disregards me and does not receive my sayings has one to judge him. The word that I have spoken is what will judge him in the last day;... (John 3:19) Now this is the basis for judgment, that the light has come into the world but men have loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were wicked.
3b. Our response to Jesus's words thus divides those who love him from those who do not. (Matthew 25:31-34 GNB) (31) "When the Son of Man comes as King and all the angels with him, he will sit on his royal throne, (32) and the people of all the nations will be gathered before him. Then he will divide them into two groups, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. (33) He will put the righteous people at his right and the others at his left. (34) Then the King will say to the people on his right, 'Come, you that are blessed by my Father! Come and possess the kingdom which has been prepared for you ever since the creation of the world. •
Please note; that separating work is happening right now. YOU are separated by whether YOU have faith in the words of Christ. Also: That kingdom prepared for you "from the founding of the world," amounts to the reestablishment earth wide of the Garden of Eden; with all the righteous of the earth living under the kingdom of Christ... (Psa 37:29 of 27-31)
4.Faith will preserve alive all those in possession of it: (John 8:24 GW) 24 For this reason I told you that you'll die because of (or will continue to die in) your sins. If you don't believe that I am the one,*a you'll die because of your sins." - (John 11:26) 26 and everyone that is living (when Christ returns, or in the end days) and exercises faith in me will never die at all. Do you believe this?" - (Hebrews 10:36-39 MWT) Learn God's will and to be patient, so that you will please God and be given what He has promised. (37) For yet “a very little while,” and “he who is coming will arrive and will not delay.” (38) “But my righteous one will live by reason of faith,” and, “if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” 39 Now we are not the sort that shrink back to destruction, but the sort that have faith to the preserving of ourselves alive.
- (John 8:51) 51 Most truly I say to you, If anyone observes my word, he will never see death at all."
*a What did Jesus mean when he said we must believe he is "the one"? Another scripture makes that clear. (Matthew 16:15-17) 15 He said to them: "You, though, who do you say I am?" 16 In answer Simon Peter said: "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." 17 In response Jesus said to him: "Happy you are, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal [it] to you, but my Father who is in the heavens did. (John 6:44)
5. All who have faith in Christ are growing (or will grow)*b to youthful perfection: (Job 33:24-30) 24 Then he favors him and says, 'Let him off from going down into the pit! I have found a ransom! 25 Let his flesh become fresher than in youth; Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor.' 26 He will make entreaty to God that he may take pleasure in him, And he will see his face with joyful shouting, And He will restore His righteousness to mortal man. 27 He will sing to men and say, 'I have sinned; and what is upright I have perverted, And it certainly was not the proper thing for me. 28 He has redeemed my soul from passing into the pit, And my life itself will see the light.' 29 Look! All these things God performs, Two times, three times, in the case of an able-bodied man, 30 To turn his soul back from the pit, That he may be enlightened with the light of those living. • You, I, We, should be singing those words...!
*b Returning to our youthful health and vigor (Job 33:13-30) might be progressive and slow, sort of the inverse of growing old. It could even be imperceptible to humans; at least to start (during the tribulation). If it happened suddenly, people would flock to Christ to be healed rather than because it is the right thing to do. (John 6:25-29) Regardless of the details and timeline, our personal faith in the words of Christ must remain the basis of our healing. (Rom 8:24‑25; Heb 10:39 of 10:36‑11:3 & 11:32‑12:3) Then again, our return to our youthful vitality and strength could happen in the twinkling of an eye, (1 Cor 15:51-58) when the sudden destruction of Armageddon falls on the wicked of this old world system; Armageddon thus bringing the end of our tribulation. (Rev 20:14-15) The Bible several times mentions complete and sudden destruction of the wicked. (2 Pet 3:8-10; 1 Thes 5:1-5) There could be a nuclear war, or fires from heaven. (Gen 19:24) We have recently seen fire storms driven by winds that create blast furnace conditions on the surface of the earth; conditions that turn bodies to dust; making it difficult or impossible to distinguish human remains from surrounding ash. (Mal 4:1-3) [The Bible says there is a group that is wicked and need to die. Also, there is a group who have expressed true faith in Christ being protected from the destruction. Some people believe there is a third group who remain ignorant, and are thus dying by the tribulation because they have no protection in Christ. If so, they "may" receive a resurrection... That is, of course, decision and not ours! I simply don't know... There is, I feel compelled to point out, no third group mentioned in the promised separating work. (Mat 25:31-34) For you and for me, let us not wonder about our fate... Let us put our faith in Christ!] As to Armageddon's length of time, Jesus did liken the end of this system to the days of Noah and Lot. (Luke 17:26-30) Rahab the harlot serves as another example of God's protection of the righteous through a destruction of the wicked. (Joshua 2:1-6:25) Lot and Rahab were saved in one day. For Noah, it took a few days. For the precise details of our salvation, we will just have to wait and see. It may actually happen both ways, as God first protects the followers of Christ to survive the tribulation, and then completes the restoration (Acts 3:19-21) of us at Armageddon. Please be assured, your deliverance will be, and can only be, through your personal faith in Jesus Christ and his Father. (Pro 30:4) Do you know, do you really and personally know, what sent Jesus to tell you? (John 5:19-24; John 17:3) A sobering question is: Can you have faith in them without knowing what Jesus said? (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John)
6. The earthly paradise will be "is being" restored by Christ Jesus (who is a descendant of Jesse, the father of King David): (Isaiah 11:1-10 MWT) 11 And there must go forth a twig out of the stump of Jesse; and out of his roots a sprout will be fruitful. 2 And upon him (Jesus) the spirit of must settle down, the spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the spirit of counsel and of mightiness, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of יהוה and 3 there will be enjoyment by him in the fear of . And he will not judge by any mere appearance to his eyes, nor reprove simply according to the thing heard by his ears. 4 And with righteousness he must judge the lowly ones, and with uprightness he must give reproof in behalf of the meek ones of the earth. And he must strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the spirit of his lips he will put the wicked one to death. 5 And righteousness must prove to be the belt of his hips, and faithfulness the belt of his loins. 6 And the wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be leader over them. 7 And the cow and the bear themselves will feed; together their young ones will lie down. And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull. 8 And the sucking child will certainly play upon the hole of the cobra; and upon the light aperture of a poisonous snake will a weaned child actually put his own hand. 9 They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of as the waters are covering the very sea. 10 And it must occur in that day that there will be the root of Jes´se that will be standing up as a signal for the peoples. To him even the nations will turn inquiringly, and his resting-place must become glorious. (Psa 110:2 of 1‑3) 2 The rod of your strength יהוה will send out of Zion, saying:
“Go subduing in the midst of your enemies.” • Christ is now subduing "in the midst" of his enemies, using the sword of his mouth: His words being spoken by his earthly followers are revealing the heart of the wicked; for the destruction of those who refuse to change... (Rev 1:16 of 9‑19; Rev 2:16‑17)
7. All those expressing faith in Christ will soon enjoy life in paradise on earth, forever: (Psalm 37:29 MWT) 29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it. (Psalm 37:4 MWT) 34 Hope in the LORD () and keep his way, And he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see [it]. (Psalm 37:10, 11) 10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. 11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. (Ecclesiastes 1:4) 4 A generation is going, and a generation is coming; but the earth is standing even to time indefinite.
How can you be sure you have true faith? Simple: Do you really believe the promises of Christ we have considered? How about these? (Mat 9:27‑30; Mat 9:22; Eph 2:8; Mark 10:52; Luke 7:50; Luke 17:19; Luke 18:42; Acts 14:9; Luke 8:48 of 42‑48; John 7:37‑39; John 19:34) Put in the words of Jesus's new Law: Do you have (and do you demonstrate) love for others? (John 13:34‑35 BBE) I (Jesus) give you a new law: Have love one for another; even as I have had love for you, so are you to have love one for another. (35) By this it will be clear to all men that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another. (Matthew 22:34-40 World English Bible) 34 After the Pharisees heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they came together in one group. 35 And one of them, versed in the Law, asked, testing him: 36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37 He said to him: "'You must love Yahweh*c () your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind' 38 This is the greatest and first commandment...(Bible scholars tell us Jesus was there quoting from: Deu 6:4‑5)39 The second, like it, is this, 'You must love your neighbor as yourself...'(There quoting from: Lev 19:18) ...40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets." • (Mat 5:43‑48; Rom 12:17‑21; Jas 2:18‑23) So... Jesus said teaching us to love God and neighbor is the purpose of the Law Code and the Prophets (purpose of Judaism). (Gal 3:23‑26) And, how to love is what Jesus came to teach. (1 John 4:14-21) Having faith in what Christ actually taught puts YOU on the modern day Ark for the preservation of life; your life. (Mat 24:37‑39) For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. 38 For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; 39 and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be. (1 Pet 3:20) ...when the patience of God was waiting in Noah’s days, while the ark was being constructed, in which a few people, that is, eight souls, were carried safely through the water. •(YOU must take great care to guard your faith! What Jesus actually taught is not what the churches are saying he taught. YOU have no excuse if you allow yourself to be deceived by them! Jesus did warn you: Mat 7:15; “Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to YOU in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. • - See also: Luke 13:26‑27 and Mat 23:1-15)
*c "Yahweh" and "Jehovah" are attempts by individuals (during the dark ages) to translate the Hebrew Divine Name of the true God into English. (LORD in all capitol letters is used by people who fear speaking or writing the Divine Name at all.) Be very careful: warned many times in his Word about the sanctity of his personal Name. (Psa 83:18; Lev 24:16; Exo 20:7; Prov 18:10; Psalm 74:18; Eze 20:9) The Bible gives no permission to translate the Divine Name into any other language... (Pro 30:4) (Again we say, be cautious: We do use Yea•Vah but but also make clear it is not a real word but something "made up" by us only as a "sounds like." It is questionable if you should use Yahweh or Jehovah, but you should definitely not write "Yea•Vah" to represent .
is made up just to show what the Divine Hebrew Name sounds like to English speakers. You should, however, recognize the true God's Name when you see it... It is just four Hebrew letters written right to left: On the right is the first letter, [Yod] י . It looks a bit like the top half of a lowercase l, with a little flag to the left at the top: י . The second letter is [He] ה . It looks a bit like a lower case n with a break at the top of it's left leg: ה . The third letter [Vah] ו looks like a lower case l with a flag left at the top. And the fourth letter, on the far left, is another broken leg n: [He] ה . Those four Hebrew characters together form The Personal Name of our heavenly Father: יהוה , or יהוה in a different font).
I do know the idea of continuing alive forever, all the while getting physically younger and stronger than we have ever been, sounds like a fairy tale. It is not! It is real because it is God's promise! You have just read where Jesus Christ, and the Bible he studied and taught from, (Luke 4:16-21) said "that" is exactly what is happening... Religion is a constant unrelenting debate causing division and hate. Religion is a membership drive seeking converts to one of her many sects, many of them claiming they are Christians, while each one is actually following their own doctrine. (Mat 15:7-9) Christianity is formed in you by what you truly believe; but that faith must be in what Christ actually taught. Christians realize their only membership is kept in the heavens. (Luke 10:20 of 17-22) The followers of Christ consider what other humans think of them to be a trivial matter. (1 Cor 4:3 of 1-5) Jesus said we must not care about human judgments, for or against. (John 5:44) Sharing the words of Christ spreads joy and peace. (John 4:14-21) The question is: Do you have real faith (in Christ's words)? (Mark 9:27-24 of 14-29) Read the words of Jesus over and over to build faith; faith in what such faith based in true knowledge can do for you! (Mat 9:27‑30; Mat 9:22; Eph 2:8; Mark 10:52; Luke 7:50; Luke 17:19; Luke 18:42; Acts 14:9; Luke 8:48 of 42‑48; John 7:37‑39; John 19:34) To consider more detailed scriptural support for the hope of staying alive forever, click to visit: JustBibleTruth.com/Observations/ANote_BigThoughts.html (Quoted scriptures in bold text are highlighted for emphasis.)
