--- Are Witches Real? ---
Should you be afraid of them?
Written: August 10, 2023

This section (in green text) is added after the document was considered done (the original version is below the second green ruler line). The terrible day I had yesterday (8/11/23 - right after that original letter's completion) left me thinking I might not have given the power possessed by demons their proper respect in that first writing. Not to respect "them," of course, because they are wicked; but to respect they were created by our Heavenly Father to be his friends and as powerful spirit creatures. Their rebellion against God in their perfection made them wicked; but may not have taken away their power. In considering their power and whether to fear them, I should have talked more about what the Bible actually says and less about what I think...

To explain, let me start with telling you about the terribly distressing day I had yesterday. [And yes, I do know some Ukrainian will think my complaint about "my day" a silly thing! Bombs weren't exploding around me (VietnamJC.com) and I did have a home and warm bed to go home to after... I thank God for that! I pray for us all... (John 5:24; Rom 5:6-11)] Yesterday began with my need to go to the grocery, but when I got outside, I couldn't unlock my truck. My first thought was the key fob battery had gone bad but when I unlocked the door with the key, it was obvious the battery in the truck was dead. When I connected the new battery charger I just bought, the digital display went dead; and, since it was first use, I thought I got a faulty charger. When I hooked up my old charger, the amp gauge pegged out at max for a few seconds and I heard the overload circuit breaker trip out in the charger. Since I just bought the truck battery in Feb. this year, I feared something had dead shorted in my truck to drain the battery and to short my chargers. When I disconnected the truck battery cable, however, and hooked the charger up just to the battery, the charger did the same thing. All this detail is given to help you understand how I could know my practically new car battery was dead shorted inside. At 75 years old, I've never seen that happen to a battery before. (I do know it does happen, but is rare.) So, I got in our older car and started out to replace the battery. We live 30 miles from the closest real store. The air conditioner in the older car had nearly quit working and it was a hot day. First, I stopped by the auto parts store where I had phoned a few days before to have them lay out a belt for my mower (to be certain it was in stock, since it is an hour to get there). At the parts store, I found they had put the belt back in stock and there was all kinds of frustrating problems re-identifying the belt I needed. Finally, armed with the new belt I think they overcharged me for (I'm pretty sure it was near double what they quoted me when I earlier phoned), I headed on to get the replacement battery. Seeing I needed gas, I stopped at a station only to find the safety door covering the gas cap would not open (the car has an anti-theft door covering the gas cap which is opened by a small lever by the driver's seat). Thirty miles from home and nearly out of gas, with my wife out of town and no one to call, I headed on to exchange the battery as I pondered a solution to my dilemma. Out at the far edge of the large parking lot of the battery store, under a tree and where it was quiet, I worked on the gas cap outer door a bit. I could hear the release catch was working inside the safety door when I pressed the release lever. Using a stick, I wedged the lever in the open position and took my pocket knife to pry open the door. Once opened, it appears to have been damaged in some way so it is bent up and no longer lines up with the opening it closes into. (I can't imagine how that could happen as it would seem to need to first be open to be damaged that way, and the car is kept locked.) When forced closed, the door jams and will no longer reopen. Still, after prying it open, I did have a way to put gas in the car so I could get home. (I was by then thinking something was wrong in my life, and my frustration level was rising.) In the store with the replacement battery in cart, even though I had my receipt, there was all kinds of problems making the exchange. The store battery tester doesn't check for an internally shorted battery (or they didn't know how to perform that test), and kept saying to charge the battery and test it again. It took at least half an hour, and half a dozen associates, as I explained over and over how I already tried to charge the battery, twice, and it was shorted internally so it could not be charged. Finally, after an exasperating waste of a half hour and more of my life to make the exchange, I had the replacement battery. Driving back home, a few miles of it on a divided highway, I was moving into the left lane to pass the vehicle in front when I heard a car horn blowing from the blind spot on the left; which I apparently hadn't fully checked. The car I was driving is a Pathfinder I seldom drive. It has very quick steering and I jerked the wheel to the right and almost overturned the car as I was forced to quickly correct back to the left. When I got home, I found the new belt I bought had simply disappeared. It had been laying in the passengers seat with my cell phone and some other items. I couldn't imagine someone would break in and steal the belt, while leaving my phone. I looked and looked for the belt to no avail. Three or four times I looked all around, front and back, under the seats and everywhere I could think. Was I loosing my mind? So... I went on to install the new battery in my truck. Later, in the early evening, I went back to search the car again. The belt had somehow gotten off the seat and into a narrow cubicle in the lower door panel. It was a tiny storage space and I wouldn't have imagined the belt could even fit into it, let alone be out of sight; and, I wasn't doing any fancy driving that could have thrown it over there. I can't imagine how the belt got over and hidden down in there. (Oh wait, the over correction on the highway that almost overturned the car...) Don't get me wrong, I'm used to having problems; like we all do have, way too often. Still, I can't remember the last time I had a day that it just seemed like everything I tried to do went wrong. It left me frazzled and feeling completely out of control. I see why people make silly mistakes when they are under pressure, and yes, I do know none of us are ever really "in control." But still, Christians should have a balanced, decent and reasonably calm life... (1 Cor 14:33; 1 Cor 14:40) If you haven't guessed by now, I was in fear demon influence caused the terrible experience of yesterday gone. No, I didn't really just "fear" that was what happened, I do "believe" it was demon influence. That is, of course, part of why the experience was so upsetting for me. "Why would God allow the demons to do that to me?" was the question I kept asking myself. One thing certain, I do not doubt demons have power to do such things...

The Bible Book of Job gives us the account of an upright man who was attacked by Satan, as it recounts some of the things Satan did to him. God said Job was upright but Satan said he wasn't. If Satan could just test Job, Satan asserted, Job would abandon God. God allowed the test but restricted what Satan could do to Job. Yesterday left me thinking my original writing (below) about Witches and Demons was a bit blase faire, and, too much my opinion and not enough about what the Bible says. It has now led me to believe God allowed a non life threatening test because of my arrogance. Maybe it was just a lesson for me, and by your reading about it, for you as well. It certainly seems a lesson, doesn't it? One thing needing correction from my original letter was I said that "I" had restricted my exposure to demons during my life. Please do know, I realize, if my exposure to demons and their black arts has been restricted, it was restricted by God; not by me.

Last evening, then, preparing for sleep at the end of that harrowing day, I was listening to a recording of the Book of Matthew. Jesus reminded me about some of the things demons and their followers can do. Jesus said they caused all kinds of diseases and problems. (Mat 4:23-25; Mat 8:16; Mark 5:1-17) Astrologers (a demonic practice condemned by God - Isa 47:12-15) were used by demons when Satan conspired to put the infant Jesus to death. They would have succeeded except for God's intervention. (Mat 2:1-20) Since the rebellion in the Garden of Eden, God has allowed mankind to live apart from his direction. Remember: Our first parents did force it to be that way. (Gen 3:1-15) The only other option would have been to kill the rebels immediately. If God had done that, you and I wouldn't be here. A new creation might be here, but not you and I. We are sons and daughters of Adam. While God did protect Jesus from the astrologers, just as He has kept us all alive during the last 6000 years, He did not force his will on anyone to protect Jesus; and, He did not force his will on anyone as He has protected the rest of us. God allowed the wicked demons and their followers to attempt to kill Jesus, while what they did succeed in doing was killing all the boys two years old and younger in the town of Bethlehem and it's surrounding territory; all except Jesus... The astrologers might not have known they were following demons. When God told them not to go back to Herod, they did comply. (Mat 2:12) Since they were trying to listen to the stars instead of God's word, however, which includes his command to listen to Jesus, (Mat 17:5) they "were" following demons. God gave us the Bible so they could (and we can) know better! Make no mistake, demons are horrible and their followers are wicked or deceived! The horrors of the 6000 years of our disobedience since the Garden proves to all sane people why God's direction is good and  is desirable  is absolutely necessary. When Jesus was grown, Satan himself appeared to test Jesus by offering him all the things Satan views to be important. Jesus had no interest in what Satan offered, so Satan left him alone. (Mat 4:1-11) I hope trying hard to free myself of love for "this world" is why I can also be set free of the influence of demons... As to the "bad day" I had yesterday, is the demon influence in my life over and done? I doubt if it is completely, until they are finally destroyed. (Rev 21:8 of 3-8; Rev 20:10 & 13-14 & 21:8) When I went out this morning to check to be certain my truck's new battery held a charge, I found a bird (or group of them) sat out on the tip of one limb that extends over the truck. They had spent some time there as they just about blacked out the passenger side windshield and side window and door with mulberry poop (or something similar). But then, there are problems all over; right...? I believe, based on my faith in God, my demon assault is past. A car battery internally dead shorting is rare. It seems a large battery like that, releasing all that energy, could easily start a fire. I like my truck. It's a few years old but I bought it new and it is low mileage and still nearly like new. It's hard to replace something like that. Also, it is parked next to my house. My day could have been far worse than it was, if the demons would have had free reign. Satan would like to kill us all. The very fact we are still alive means God is protecting us... (That is assuming you're not a Satan worshiper, of course. Even if you are, Satan will kill you when it suits him.)

In regard to the demons, then, my faith is we should imitate Michael the archangel. Even with his great power, when disputing or having to deal with a demon, he said simply, "May rebuke you." I join him in praying: May rebuke them all, soon forever... (Psa 37:10-11; Rev 20:10 & 13-14; Rev 21:8)

So, now you've heard my tale of woe for yesterday past. My purpose is you might understand why I believe I put myself in line for some incursion into my life by demons; because of having felt, after completing the original letter (see the original text below), I might have displayed a cavalier attitude toward witchcraft. [My problems yesterday were admittedly limited in their seriousness and not too harmful; but they were distressing for me all the same! My bad conscience was distressing.] I believe my feelings about what happened to me are both real and true. I also believe it is a lesson from my Father... (Heb 12:5-6) [And I do know some religious people will lyingly assert I am wicked and "my father" is the Devil. May my Father rebuke them.] What I believe, however, has no measurable bearing on your life. The important question for you is, what do "you" believe? Your faith, however, what you really believe, has everything to do with whether you have a future. (Mat 8:13; Luke 6:19; Mat 9:27‑30; Mat 9:22; Eph 2:8; Mark 10:52; Luke 7:50; Luke 17:19; Luke 18:42; Acts 14:9; Luke 8:48 of 42‑48; John 7:37‑39; John 19:34) Should you trust me? Did I make it up to deceive you? Am I delusional or confused? Or, is it real? If I am confused or mentally ill, even I don't realize my-own-self. But, that identifies the common problem we all suffer: We don't ever know what we don't yet know. Fear not, the Bible is the solution. You must, however, personally decide what you believe; and you are the only one who can make sure it comes from the Bible. What you are making the choice to put faith in means your life. Just always remember your eternal and perfect safeguard: If you remain careful and certain you are gaining "your spiritual" or "secret" knowledge from the words of Christ, you can always know you are safe and that knowledge will set you free of fear. (John 8:31-32; John 8:23-24) One last tidbit about my drama: When I went out this afternoon, the day after my first attempt to go to the grocery and all the problems that prevented my doing so, I found the early afternoon rain had washed the windows of my truck clean (all the previous night's bird pooh was just gone). What do we believe God can do and will do and does do for us? What do YOU believe is doing for you? Viewing the world through my rain washed windshield, my trip to the grocery was enjoyable; well, at least uneventful!

This is the document on witchcraft as it was originally completed and published:
The answerers are first yes, they (witches) are real. And as to whether to fear them, well, that is between you and the Almighty God . I hope you are choosing to make him "our" God... ( יהוה  is God's personal Hebrew Name as written on the stone tablets He gave to Moses. - Exo 31:18) Personally, I do not fear witches, (That is one of the statements I felt the need to amend or clarify, as explained in the text between the green ruler lines above.) beyond the very real and grave danger posed by their teachings and influence. That said, I pray God's blessing and protection in saying I don't fear them...

The question raised, and reason for this letter is to encourage you to consider: Could you have been influenced by the thinking or attitudes of witches without realizing? Are you sure? There are only two powers at work in the universe, you see. The first is and those who follow him, (by listening to his faithful and only begotten Son - John 1:14; Mat 17:5) and the other force is comprised of Satan and those who follow him (in his rebellion. - Eph 2:1-10 [If that sounds a bit too much like a Star Wars movie, where do you think men get "all" of their ideas? Humans are not creators. All we think and know comes from what we perceive. (Ecc 1:9-10)]) So, as to my not being afraid: While I don't question demons are far more powerful than I am, or that witches and the other "dark arts" get their power from the demons, I still don't fear them. I don't assert or even imagine to comprehend what powers the wicked might gain by choosing to follow (or ignorantly allowing themselves to be influenced by) the demons. The reason I still don't fear them, however, is because my Father is far greater in power, and, my Father is good. (James 2:19 of 18-23; Mat 6:9-10 of 9-15; Mark 10:18) So, I rest in 's name (Pro 18:10) and in his protection. (Rom 8:31-39) You should know !

First to begin, though, what even are witches. Without doubt, every single person you ask will have a different opinion about who and what witches are. For the sake of this consideration, we want to see what we can know about them from God's word the Bible. For Christians, that is the only definition that really matters! For those who want to continue alive, that is the only definition that really matters...

Most Bible translations equate a witch with being a sorcerer; and the practice of witchcraft with sorcery and magic. Witches practice such things as divination, the reading of signs and omens, numerology, the casting of spells, and consulting spirit mediums or talking with the dead (and astrology). The consensus is that most of those "practices" spring from a desire to attain "secret" knowledge; secret in the sense it is not available to normal humans or through our human senses. Is that desire for knowledge in itself a bad thing? I hope not! That's one of the reasons I try to know , to gain an understanding of things I couldn't know apart from his help. (Heb 11:1; 2 Cor 4:16-5:1) I want to know and understand what God's Word refers to as the Sacred Secret of God... (Mark 4:10-11; Eph 1:8-10) Since God has secrets Jesus said we should learn, (John 17:3) it must mean the desire by witches to gain spiritual or superhuman knowledge is not in and of itself bad.

So then, why does God condemn witchcraft? Much of what the Bible says about witches can be summed up in a small group of verses. Exodus 22:18 from the King James Bible tells us simply: Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.~ God goes on to further explain in Deuteronomy 18:9-15 ESV "When you come into the land that the LORD  () your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. (10) There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer (witch) (11) or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer (a necromancer is a diviner of the dead or a conjurer or enchanter) or one who inquires of the dead, (12) for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD. And because of these abominations the LORD your God is driving them out before you. (13) You shall be blameless before the LORD your God, (14) for these nations, which you are about to dispossess, listen to fortune-tellers and to diviners. But as for you, the LORD your God has not allowed you to do this. (15) "The LORD  () your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers--it is to him you shall listen~

The very act of proclaiming oneself a witch, or practicing witchcraft, is pernicious. Witches make themselves enemies of God. Why? Did you note in verse 15 of Deuteronomy 18 quoted above, has raised up a prophet in his son Jesus Christ; a prophet for each one of us to personally listen to and follow. That's where witches go wrong, you see: It's not their desire to gain "secret knowledge" that's wrong. It's the source they choose to look to... By seeking guidance from the things witches look to, they are turning away from God's command to listen to his son. (Mat 17:5) They are replacing and his Christ with the false God's they choose. By trying to accept guidance and gain knowledge from the practice of witchcraft, witches make themselves enemies of God because He told them to listen to Jesus. (Mark 9:7) Please be clear: I am not suggesting (and the Bible does not teach) you to harm or even judge wicked anyone who claims or believes they are a witch. God's command above (from Exodus 22:18) to kill witches was given to the ancient Jewish nation, before Christ arrived. Judaism and their Law Code was replaced by, or was fulfilled in, or became and/or evolved into, Christianity. (Gal 3:26-29) The Jews were being used as a nation to produce the seed of promise, (Gen 3:15) and so were being protected by God's Law Code until Jesus was born in their midst. The ancient Jews existed to bring Christianity to birth! (Gal 3:23-26) Their nation was surrounded by demon worshipping nations who were trying to destroy them. (Demons are Satan and the wicked spirit creatures that joined him to rebel against . Unlike some witches, demons are not human and are never mistaken or confused, and they will never repent. They are wicked!) The ancient Jewish Nation needed special protection from God, and the Jewish Law Code given Moses was to protect that purpose of God being revealed in the Jews; by teaching them to look forward to their coming Messiah, as well as to keep them spiritually clean enough for God to protect and use them, so as to complete their mission. (Deu 9:4-6) Christians are no longer under the Law Code, but we can still learn the principles taught by it. (As far as that goes, the Law Code no longer has value for Jews either. "Faithful" Jews all followed Christ, and the rest were abandoned by God. - Mat 23:37-39) So, we can know witchcraft is very bad because God condemned it! But do remember, lying and stealing are also very bad. Christians don't kill or harm people who lie and steal. Be careful though, along with witches, all liars and thieves will soon be killed by God; if they don't repent and stop. (Rev 21:5-8)

Since we are no longer under the Law of Moses, then, why do I even mention the witches condemned by it? The reason is because I fear some people may be overcome by witchcraft, or similar demonistic practices, without realizing it. Some of the individuals I fear for do claim and probably believe they are Christians. (Luke 13:26-27 of 24-27) Many years ago, I was in a woman's home who told me her appliances "talked" to her. She said their message came in over the power lines and she could understand what they told her. (We're not talking about a TV or radio either!) I was there to repair her refrigerator or some major appliance, and she believed, and would not be dissuaded from continuing to believe, I was getting instructions on how to fix it over it's electrical wires. She was a bit unnerving and I didn't turn my back on her. Was that mental illness, or some form of witchcraft or sorcery or other demonic influence. The Bible doesn't specifically command us not to listen to our washing machine or stove for spiritual guidance, but I believe it is implied in these scriptures we have considered. I have known other men and women who believed they were under the influence of demons, or were witches; and all believed they gained benefit by those activities. One actually told me I could have anything I wanted if I would join him... Their faith and/or health problems are not my judgment to render, of course, and I don't presume to understand them. The only reason I mention them is because I have several other acquaintances who believe they can "know and understand" secret things, or get direction for their lives, or even "judge" other people, based on the colors people choose to wear, or the numbers that surround them in transactions of life (endless numbers; check numbers or dates on packages etc.). They look for knowledge in things that have absolutely no meaning to me; or I believe, to truth and reality. The very serious question is: Where do they imagine "their power" to understand such "secret things" comes from? Who is "teaching them" or "helping them" understand what color or number is special, and what those things mean? Since gave us the Bible with very specific instructions to listen to Jesus, (Heb 1:1-2; Mat 17:5) isn't giving thought and attention to such things, actually looking to whoever is the false God or power behind those "secret" meanings? I don't know and am not your judge, but please just consider: Is giving importance to numbers, or colors, or the other happenstances of life, really any different from looking to witchcraft; or some other similar superhuman sense or practice condemned by God? I'm not your judge but you need to be warned that "you are" your own judge; that you are made responsible and judge yourself by the words of Christ; by "how" you respond to his words. (John 3:19 of 16-21) I do believe divining numbers and colors is witchcraft, or another version of the exact same wicked thing! It is allowing yourself to be influenced by demons. Does proclaiming yourself a Christian, even while you seek the meaning of life from colors and numbers, does that "really" make you a Christian? So, then, I mention witchcraft because I believe those people looking to other "mystic" (having power) aspects of everyday life are putting their lives at stake and are in danger! Just try and always remember: God's one and only latter day command (since Jesus started preaching - Heb 1:1-2) is that we listen to his son; (Mat 17:5) and his son then warned us to listen "only" to him... (Mat 7:15) Do YOU hear that warning by Jesus? Do you see how important it is to be certain you are listening only to Christ? (Luke 13:26-27) If you let other events and happenstances of life give you secret meanings, and tell you how to live your life, or what the things that happen to you mean, is that really listening to Jesus? You should be very sure... (Mat 7:22-23; Luke 13:26-27) Just like witchcraft, seeing or seeking the meaning of life in anything except the words of Christ is wicked! If you believe you should or should not do something, and you can't tie our decision directly to the Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ, where does that direction come from? (Mat 5:37) If your instruction is not coming directly from Jesus, it is likely from Satan. (John 8:42-47) This is not rocket science! You can not partake of the table of [simply meaning you are directing your life by listening to the words of his Christ] while you at the same time accept the food from demons [meaning you are looking for the meaning of life in numbers and colors and... If you are allowing such things to influence your life, you should seriously ask yourself if that is Christian.]. (1 Cor 10:21-22) This is not an assault or judgment of you. Only you can judge you! (John 3:19 of 17-21) No person alive except you will know, so "please" just do this: If you think you might even possibly be allowing yourself to "read" spiritual meaning into the actions of people around you, and/or from your surroundings by divining numbers and colors, just please then ask yourself if you are happy... Realize; what you believe and hope does not impact just your "future" blessings from God. It is your right now! It is who you are. If you are terribly unhappy with life, or even if you are just "not" happy, consider this possible cause: Jesus said he was sent, in part, for the very purpose of making us happy; if we just read and take to heart his words. (John 15:11; 1 John 1:3-4) It follows that if we are miserable with life, (barring mental illness, of course,) it must mean we are not "really listening" to God's command to listen to Jesus as our "only" source of "secret knowledge." (Actually, listening to Christ  might  "will likely" help any mental illness as well.) Spend time every day reading through a portion of Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. (Reading through one of those short Books every day, beginning to end, would not be an unreasonable goal.) The words spoken by Jesus will set you free... (John 8:31-32) They are the only thing that can.

As to gaining any benefit from witchcraft... While my experience with the occult is deliberately limited, I had a high school friend that told me he was under the influence of a demon. He revealed it when we were in our early twenties. He stopped by my house one evening already drinking and wanting me to go out with him. I had to work the next morning, but went and had 3 or 4 beers. We came back to my home and were sitting in the living room talking. There was a step up kitchen and he was seated on the steps while I was on the couch with about six feet between us. The only light was in the kitchen behind him. He was by then drunk enough his speech was a bit slurred. He started telling me a story about someone telling him he could have anything he wanted if he would just go along with the teller. Suddenly, his words became clear and took on a monotone. The room felt cold and his face, being shadowed in the light behind him, changed to appear monstrous. It became obvious it was no longer a story about him but he was telling me I could have everything I wanted if I would follow. I asked him who would offer such a gift but he just kept saying I would have anything I wanted if I'd just follow. Is this from God, I asked, but he just continued. I was terrified beyond words and looked and reached upward as I offered prayer to God, asking him to help me because I clearly didn't understand what was happening; but, I was sure I didn't want anything to do with demons. (Sadly, I didn't know to address by his personal name in those days.) As I disengaged from the conversation and started to pray to the God of heaven, my friends speech returned to normal and he started laughing like it had been a joke. I knew it wasn't a joke and he finally confided he had been under the influence of a demon for several years. He seemed to know precisely when it happened. The event terrified me for a long time after... Retrospectively, I did know him well enough to be pretty sure he had not had everything he wanted from life. And, he was dead soon after at a very young age; from a heart attack someone said. Remember: Demons are liars and there is no reason to believe you would ever get anything good from one. (John 8:44) Was my experience with him real? God knows even I don't know. Please do know, 4 beers do not make me drunk, certainly not to the point of having hallucinations. His demon was real to me, and, is part of the reason I say I don't fear witches or demons. I don't fear them because my Father is greater... And, I do know by now to call on God's protection using his personal name! I do so as I write this. Tell everyone you know: Praise you people! (Rev 19:6) Gather yourself to our Father through his Christ! (Zeph 3:20; Mat 25:31-34 & 41)
So, in conclusion, let me give an updated answer to the questions I asked in opening. Yes, witches are real. And yes, we should be very afraid of them. If you remain a friend of , however, my faith is He can, and will, protect you. (James 2:23; John 6:28-29) What, though, does it take to be a friend of . That's the purpose of this letter: What do YOU believe? (John 6:28-29) Remember, demons are liars as part of their very nature. (John 8:44-45) Anything we believe that is not the truth put forth by God in Christ, (John 18:37) then, is likely a lie and represents the influence of demons over our lives. (Mat 5:37) That is to say: You can only safely learn what is truth (be set free of Demon influence) by listening to Christ. (John 18:37; Mat 17:5) Wouldn't it be interesting to find not only some diseases and problems, but even our getting old and dying, (Job 33:13-30) is connected with how we personally have allowed ourselves to be misled, and therefore controlled and impacted by, witchcraft and other forms of demonology; including, and certainly most deceptively by, religion (religion being very different from Christianity). We see TV shows that actually portray witches as good. Make no mistake, witchcraft is bad. But be warned, witchcraft is really just another form of religion. Calling Christ's name on your sectarian religion, while your "brother and sister" cult members extol your virtue and good fortune in having an approved membership in their sect, might help you convince "yourself" you are doing good, it does not make you Christian! (Mat 24:23-28) Fear witches! Just as dangerous or more; fear false Christians! If you have been led away from Christ to imagine your salvation comes from an approved membership in some sect of men, well... (Luke 13:26-27; Mark 7:7-9) The reason I share this personal story is to help you understand why I am convinced is directly involved in and impacting my life, that based on my friendship with Jesus, but certainly not based on any human associations with sects of men... What do you believe is happening to/for you? (Mat 8:13) Remember as you consider my words, I don't encourage you to join me or to seek my approval! I want you to personally and individually join Christ in seeking 's approval and "his" glory... (John 6:28-29; John 7:28-29; Mat 11:27 of 25-27) I want you to realize joining Christ is not, and is nothing like, having a "sectarian Church" membership... Putting your hope in self righteous religious people is just as bad as witchcraft, and, seems far more dangerous because Religionists often call Jesus's name on their sect. But, they teach doctrinal lies, claiming they are the words of Christ. (Mat 24:23-25 of 23-28; Mark 7:7-9) Make the choice to sit at the feet of Jesus; (Mark 3:31-35) just by reading your Gospels! (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John) This is so simple: If you pray to God for help, then simply follow 's command to get your answer and take in God's Spirit (John 6:63) by reading Jesus's words. (Mark 9:7; Heb 1:1-2 of 1-6)
